Exciting Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Nelson!
Location: Nelson, Lancashire
Contract: Full-time, Term-time Only
Start Date: April 2025
Are you a recent graduate looking to start a rewarding career in education? Our inclusive and dynamic primary school in Nelson is seeking a passionate and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team.
We offer a supportive and welcoming school environment with a dedicated group of educators who will guide and mentor you. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will receive full training to help you enhance your teaching skills while having the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young learners.
Your responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons. You will provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them overcome learning challenges. Additionally, you will prepare classroom resources and materials, track student progress, and provide feedback to the teacher. You will also support the social, emotional, and academic development of students, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
We are looking for a recent graduate who has a genuine passion for working with children. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential. We are seeking someone with a positive attitude, patience, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving. While experience in a school setting is desirable, it is not essential. We welcome graduates from any degree background, provided they have the right skills for the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
