Science Teacher Opportunity – Durham
Are you a passionate Science teacher looking for a new challenge? Our Ofsted-rated Outstanding school in Durham is seeking a dedicated General Science Teacher to join the team from February 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a high-achieving school.
Position: General Science Teacher
Pay: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: February 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science at KS3 & KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to students of varying abilities.
- Play a key role in the ongoing development and success of the Science department.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons using our state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Excellent classroom management and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment.
- A child workforce DBS (or willingness to apply).
- Two professional references from recent employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
