Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor

Location:

England, Greater London, Ilford

Temporary, Part-Time

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide individualised support to students requiring intervention in English and Maths GCSE subjects
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to address specific learning needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience in English and Maths

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of pedagogical techniques for supporting struggling students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students in their learning
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a school or learners home setting
  • Opportunity for remote tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
