Position Title: Future Teachers Programme – Subject-Specific Role
Location: Secondary Schools in Stockport
Start Date: September 2025
Daily Rate: £89 – £100
Overview
This programme is aimed at graduates who are considering a career in teaching. As a participant, you will gain hands-on experience in delivering subject-specific lessons while working closely with experienced educators in Stockport’s secondary schools. This is an immersive opportunity to develop classroom skills and prepare for a successful teaching career.
Key Responsibilities

Classroom Support: Assist in delivering lessons in your chosen subject area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, or Humanities).

Curriculum Engagement: Work with classroom teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum.

Student Interaction: Provide 1:1 and small group support to reinforce learning and address individual student needs.

Feedback & Reflection: Regularly evaluate your teaching practice with guidance from mentors, and incorporate feedback to improve your delivery.

Administrative Support: Assist with marking, lesson planning, and organising classroom resources.
Qualifications & Experience

A recent graduate in a relevant subject area or education-related field.

Passion for teaching and a clear commitment to pursuing a career in education.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate young people.

An eagerness to learn, develop new skills, and take on classroom responsibilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
