Job description

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills tutor to support students in developing essential English and Maths skills. This role involves delivering one-to-one and small-group tuition to learners in Nottinghamshire who need extra support to build confidence and achieve their goals.

About the Role:

As a Functional Skills tutor, you will:

  • Provide personalised tuition in English and/or Maths to help students develop key life skills.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Support students in improving their confidence, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced Tutor/Educator: A proven ability to support students in Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
  • Organised & Reliable: Strong planning and time-management skills.
  • Student-Focused: A commitment to safeguarding and supporting learner development.
  • Engaging Communicator: The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
