ROLE: Food Technology Teacher
An SEN school local to Bournemouth is looking for a Food Technology Teacher to start from September 2020.
The school:
The school is a Pupil Referral Unit which provides education for those pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. The school offers an alternative to mainstream school for students within a geographically defined zone. They provide a flexible, individual package of education which reflects the interests of the student.
REQUIREMENTS:
- QTS
- Must be educated to degree level (preferably in Food Technology or a related subject)
- Must have previous experience teaching Food Technology.
The role:
- Will involve monitoring pupils examination preparation in line with the syllabus.
- Involves working with students on both an individual and group level.
- Essential that the applicant is capable of keeping students engaged with the subject.
- Will involve managing day to day factors related to behaviour management, as well as any pastoral issues that may arise.
Additionally:
- The required applicant will be required to liase with senior leaders with regards to overall student attainment.
- There is an expectancy from the school that the applicant will be able to provide regular feedback to students, heads of department as well as students.
- It is essential that the required individual has a passion for food, and is able to apply health and safety practice to a high standard.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
