Job description

A primary school in the BL3 area are currently looking to recruit two professional and committed individuals for the role of SEN Support Assistants to help create engaging educational experiences for children in EYFS. The school prides itself on building strong relationships built on trust, with both parents and pupils alike. These roles would be 8.30am-3.30pm, Monday-Friday, starting after the Easter break, term-time only, until the end of the academic year (July 2025). Relevant education-based qualifications (level 2/3 education-based qualification) are preferred but not essential.

Within these roles, you will be expected to support with pupils with a range of special educational needs; to encourage positive behaviour and to work together with other SEN Support Assistants and class teachers. You will be involved in supporting the children accessing the curriculum and carry out relevant observations.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, whether you have prior experience with supporting individuals with SEN in a classroom setting or alternative environment, have personal experience supporting individuals with SEN, or you are a recent graduate looking for experience in a specialist role, then this may be the perfect role for you!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
