We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our passionate team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to supporting the development and well-being of young children in their first years of school.

Role Overview:

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support the teaching and learning of children in the early years (ages 4-5) and help create a stimulating and safe learning environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and other members of staff to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met, helping them to develop both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons.

-          Support children’s emotional, social, and academic development in line with the EYFS framework.

-          Help to prepare and organize learning resources and activities.

-          Support children with additional learning needs, ensuring their inclusion and progress.

-          Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

-          Observe and track children's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.

-          Contribute to the creation of a safe, stimulating, and positive classroom environment.

-          Assist with the supervision of children during break times, lunch, and other school activities.

About You:

We are looking for a candidate who:

-          Has experience working with children in an early years setting (EYFS experience is essential).

-          Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent).

-          Demonstrates a passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

-          Has a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and how children learn.

-          Is patient, caring, and able to build strong relationships with children and staff.

-          Is a team player, adaptable, and proactive in their approach to supporting the class teacher.

-          Is willing to undergo further training and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
