Job description

About the Role:
Are you a passionate and inspiring English Teacher looking to make a difference in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable English Teachers to support secondary schools in Waterlooville and the surrounding areas. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to ignite a love of literature and language in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to students of varying abilities.
  • Develop students’ skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment to foster learning and creativity.
  • Prepare students for GCSE exams by delivering targeted and effective instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the English department’s curriculum and goals.
  • Provide feedback and assessments to support student progress and achievement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in English.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
  • Experience teaching secondary school-aged students, particularly Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis across various schools.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
