The Role
The school is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to join its dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about English and literature, and committed to inspiring students to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Support students in developing strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Foster a love of literature and language in an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s English curriculum and resources.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic achievement within the classroom and wider school community.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related subject.
  • Experience or enthusiasm for teaching English in a secondary school setting.
  • A commitment to high expectations for all students and a passion for literature and language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
  • Alignment with the school’s values and ethos.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
