Are you a passionate and motivated English teacher looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school? We’re recruiting an English teacher for a fantastic secondary school in Stockton, where your enthusiasm and expertise can make a real difference.

About the Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lesson suited to the unique needs of each pupil.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to student progress and development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Stay up to date with educational best practices and policies.

Requirements

  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide at least two professional employment references.

  • A relevant degree in English or a related field.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A passion for English literature and language, with the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student achievement.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to school life.

This position is open to both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (ECTs) who are eager to grow in a supportive environment.
