English Teacher - Stockport (January Start)

Do you have a love for literature, language, and the power of storytelling? Teaching Personnel is looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a respected secondary school in Stockport this January. This full-time role is perfect for a passionate educator eager to make a meaningful difference in students’ academic journeys.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, tailored to varying abilities
  • Inspiring students to develop critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills through studying literature and language
  • Supporting students in preparing for GCSE exams, including coursework and revision strategies
  • Encouraging a love of reading and creative expression in a positive, inclusive environment
  • Working collaboratively with the English department to implement innovative teaching methods and resources

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • A proven track record of success in teaching KS3 and KS4 English
  • Strong classroom management skills and an ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Dedication to helping all students reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
