English Teacher – Stockport

Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking to inspire students and foster a love for literature and language? Teaching Personnel is partnering with a high-achieving secondary school in the Stockport area, seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join their team in January.

About the Role:

• Start Date: January 2024
• Contract: Full-time, ongoing
• Pay Rate: £162–£251 per day (dependent on pay scale and experience)
• Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential.
• Plan, prepare, and teach lessons that support students' understanding of literature, grammar, and creative writing.
• Use data-driven strategies to track progress, identify areas for development, and implement effective interventions.
• Encourage critical thinking and effective communication through group discussions, debates, and written work.
• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department initiatives, such as reading clubs, writing competitions, and school productions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A proven track record of teaching English at secondary school level, including experience with GCSE specifications.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• A passion for English literature and language, and the ability to inspire students to engage with the subject.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with a commitment to professional development.
