Location: Solihull (B92)

Hours: Full Time

Pay: To scale (Teaching Personnel will pay to scale on all fully qualified long term roles, day to day rates will vary)

Successful candidates will be fully qualified English teachers who are passionate about educating, have a strong classroom presence, excellent subject/curriculum knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging English lessons. Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Bachelors degree in English Literature/ Language
  • Experience and proven track record teaching English within a UK secondary school
  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Confident behaviour management techniques

 

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a fully qualified English teacher who is able to plan and deliver exciting English lessons, in line with the national curriculum guidelines. You will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour effectively, assessing pupil progress and providing timely and informative feedback. The successful applicant will collaborate well with colleagues within the department to ensure it runs smoothly and is a high performer within the school. You will show a commitment to safeguarding and ensure you contribute to the wider school community wherever possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
