Job Title: English Teacher

Location: Solihull, Birmingham

Hours: Full Time

Pay: £150-225 per day dependent on experience (TEACHING PERSONNEL WILL PAY TO SCALE ON LONG TERM POSITIONS FOR FULLY QUALIFIED TEACHERS)

The team at Teaching Personnel, Birmingham are seeking a qualified and passionate English Teacher to work at one of our amazing partner schools within the Solihull area of Birmingham. There is a potential for this to go into a temp-to-perm arrangement dependent on how the successful applicant gets on.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • hold a UK QTS (qualified teacher status)
  • be qualified to teach English within a secondary school environment
  • have completed their PGCE/uni degree
  • have experience managing classrooms and be confident in their behaviour management strategies
  • have experience working with children with special educational needs
  • be confident in planning, marking and delivering English lessons to a range of ages and abilities

 

The successful candidate will:

  • plan and deliver a range of engaging, exciting and stimulating English lessons to Years 7-11 (the ability to teach A-Level is helpful)
  • mark work promptly, providing informative feedback, condusive with the pupils learning and development
  • work closely with pupils with SEN and ensure they have the suitable support required to succeed
  • collaborate with colleagues within the department to ensure it is a top performing subject within the school
  • uphold the schools policies and procedures at all times, ensuring safeguarding principles are at the pinnacle of everything you do
  • communicate effectively with colleagues, pupils and parents/guardians
  • contribute to the wider school community through involvement in parents evenings and after school activities where possible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
