Job Title: English Teacher

Job Location: Salford, Greater Manchester

Job Salary: Negotiable

Job Contract: Full time, permanent

 

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce team are currently partnering with an Alternate Provision located in Greater Manchester, who we are currently assisting with the recruitment of an experienced and dedicated English Teacher to join their school to start in the new academic year. You will be responsible for teaching Functional Skills/GCSE English to students in years 5 - 13, and ensuring the students are working to the best of their learning potential within a thriving and rewarding environment, working alongside a team of Teaching Assistants who will provide support throughout.

 

Job Role: 

  • You will be required to teach GCSE English to students aged 11 - 19. 
  • Provide 1:1 support to students as and where needed to help students in areas they may be struggling.
  • Liaise with the Head of Department regarding creative ways to develop the curriculum.
  • Work alongside the Teaching Assistants within your department to identify areas of struggle for students.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students following exams/tests and ensure students are learning to the best of their abilities.

 

Job Requirements:

  • UK recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent), QTS is not essential for this role.
  • Prior experience teaching English at GCSE level within a Secondary School/Sixth Form College.
  • A UK degree is essential for this role (minimum bachelors degree).
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or no prior cautions or convictions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
