Job description

Position: English Teacher
Location: Rushden

Teaching Personnel is seeking an inspiring and dynamic English Teacher to work in a well-regarded secondary school in the Rushden area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with opportunities to teach KS5).
  • Develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Inspire a love of literature and language in students of all abilities.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and other assessments, ensuring academic progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters student confidence and success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for literature, language, and student development.
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Hold an enhanced child-only DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
