English Teacher
Job description
As an English Teacher, you will be at the heart of our students' academic development, fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. You will:
- Teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including literature, language, and writing skills
- Inspire students to develop a passion for reading and self-expression through engaging and creative lessons
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback and support to ensure all students reach their full potential
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and the wider school community
- Collaborate with a supportive team of colleagues, sharing ideas, resources, and best practices
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A strong passion for English and the ability to inspire students of all abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make complex ideas accessible and engaging
- Creative and innovative teaching methods, with a focus on student-centred learning
- A commitment to student development and the ability to nurture students’ confidence and skills in both language and literature

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
