We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a highly regarded educational institution in Poole, starting on 22nd April 2025, following the Easter break.
This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students aged 14 to 18, fostering their academic growth and confidence in English.
About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet students' needs.
- Teach individuals or full classes in a face-to-face setting.
- Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and constructive feedback.
- Organise enriching extracurricular activities, such as events and trips.
- Monitor student development and maintain accurate learner records.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong knowledge of the English language and effective teaching methodologies.
- Experience supporting children or young adults, particularly those with special educational needs.
- The ability to design engaging courses that cater to varied learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a keen eye for detail.
- Competency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS background check, as this role involves working with children.
- A reliable mode of transport may be required due to the school's location.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
