English Teacher (Full-Time, April 2025)
Location: Blandford, Dorset
A dynamic and well-established secondary school in Blandford is seeking to appoint a fully qualified and passionate English Teacher to join their vibrant team from April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys in a supportive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Foster a love of literature and language, encouraging students to achieve their full potential
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to aid development
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the continuous improvement of the English department
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Fully qualified teacher with a degree in English or a related field
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student achievement
- A passion for teaching English and inspiring students to excel
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Previous experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
- Knowledge of current trends in English education and curriculum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
