Job description

A well-established secondary school in Blandford is seeking to appoint a fully qualified English Teacher to join their dedicated team from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and committed professional to contribute to a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality English lessons to students across various year groups
  • Planning and preparing engaging and effective lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement
  • Contributing to extracurricular activities and school events

Requirements:

  • A fully qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to student success
  • Experience in a secondary school setting is preferred, though not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
