English Intervention Tutor – Beeston, Nottinghamshire
Do you have experience supporting children with additional needs? Are you passionate about helping students improve their English skills outside of mainstream education?
At TP Tutors, we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated English Intervention Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 support to students in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. This role is ideal for those with experience working with SEN students in roles such as teacher, tutor, teaching assistant, or 1:1 support worker.
About the Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging English sessions designed to support each student’s individual needs.
- Work with SEN students, including those with ASD, SEMH, or PMLD, in a face-to-face setting. Tuition may take place in the student's home, a care home, or a local setting such as a library (agreed with parents/carers).
- Track student progress, identify next steps, and build confidence in their learning.
- Inspire and motivate students, making English accessible and enjoyable.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to keep students engaged and on task.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN children.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging English sessions based on individual learning needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- A passion for raising students’ confidence and helping them achieve their potential.
- Experience tracking progress and setting learning goals.
Requirements:
All applicants will be subject to background checks and must hold a current DBS certificate (registered on the update service). Teaching Personnel can assist with this if needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
