Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Primary School – Portsmouth

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated ECTs to join our primary schools in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. Position: Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Primary School
Location: Portsmouth and Surrounding Areas
Start Date: March 2025
Contract: Full-Time / Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Develop and implement individual learning plans to meet the needs of students
- Support students in their social and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and assess student progress
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in school activities and parent communications
- Embrace continuous professional development opportunities
The Ideal Candidate:
- Newly qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Passionate about working with children and fostering a love of learning
- Enthusiastic, creative, and proactive in developing engaging lessons
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Eager to develop professionally and contribute to the wider school community
- DBS checked (or willingness to undergo a check)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
