Early Years Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at Teaching Personnel to work at a primary school in Blackpool, supporting children with high levels of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Learning: Assist in the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- 1:1 and Group Support: Work closely with pupils with SEN and EAL, providing individual and small group support to meet their unique needs.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
- Promote Communication: Assist in developing language and communication skills, particularly for children with EAL.
- Emotional and Social Support: Provide care and guidance to help children develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working in Early Years settings, particularly with SEN and EAL pupils.
- A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
- A strong understanding of EYFS principles and child development.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and use your initiative.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years, or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
- A passion for inclusivity and supporting diverse learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
