Are you an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) looking for a supportive and inspiring environment to begin your teaching journey? We are seeking a passionate Early Career Teacher to join our welcoming and dynamic team in Portsmouth, starting in February 2025.

The Role:
As an Early Career Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach a class within your designated year group while receiving tailored support and mentoring as you begin your teaching career. You will be encouraged to be creative in your lesson planning, engage with students, and develop your classroom management skills under the guidance of experienced colleagues. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop as an educator with the support of an experienced mentor and a strong network of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Build positive relationships with students, encouraging a love for learning.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, ensuring they feel safe and valued.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices, contributing to school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including those specific to Early Career Teachers.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (or in the process of completing your training).
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting the development of young learners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- A creative and proactive approach to teaching, with a desire to continuously improve.
- A positive attitude towards learning and a commitment to the ethos and values of the school.
- An understanding of the Early Career Teacher framework and the desire to develop professionally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
