  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Build strong, empathetic relationships with students, understanding the challenges they face and providing the support they need to succeed.
  • Keep students engaged and motivated, using practical projects and real-world examples to capture their interest.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure a consistent, supportive approach across the provision.
  • Adapt teaching styles to meet the individual needs of students, many of whom have special educational needs and behavioural difficulties.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and celebrating their achievements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working in an Alternative Provision or with students who have complex behavioural needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students overcome challenges and succeed.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching Design & Technology, adapting lessons to meet individual learning styles.
