Are you a passionate and skilled Design and Technology teacher with a specialism in woodwork and confidence in delivering engaging food technology lessons? The school is seeking a dedicated Part-Time DT Teacher to join their team this term.

 

They are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced DT teacher to cover a temporary, part-time role beginning Tuesday 23rd April until Thursday 13th June 2025, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in woodwork and food technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in woodwork and food technology.

  • Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support progress.

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment in workshops and kitchens.

  • Monitor and track student progress in line with school and national standards.

  • Maintain and manage equipment and materials for practical lessons.

  • Support the broader Design and Technology curriculum and collaborate with colleagues where necessary.

  • Uphold the school’s policies and contribute positively to the school community.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level, including woodwork and food tech.

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
