Are you a passionate and skilled Design and Technology teacher with a specialism in woodwork and confidence in delivering engaging food technology lessons? The school is seeking a dedicated Part-Time DT Teacher to join their team this term.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced DT teacher to cover a temporary, part-time role beginning Tuesday 23rd April until Thursday 13th June 2025, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in woodwork and food technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in woodwork and food technology.

Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support progress.

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment in workshops and kitchens.

Monitor and track student progress in line with school and national standards.

Maintain and manage equipment and materials for practical lessons.

Support the broader Design and Technology curriculum and collaborate with colleagues where necessary.

Uphold the school’s policies and contribute positively to the school community.
What We’re Looking For:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level, including woodwork and food tech.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
