Location: Secondary Schools across Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Flexible, Temporary, Full-time/Part-time Opportunities
Salary: £90pd - £150pd dependant on experience and responsibilities

Teaching Personnel is a leading education recruitment specialist, dedicated to providing top-tier staff to schools across the UK. We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Cover Supervisors to join our team in supporting secondary schools throughout Northamptonshire.

Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You’ll be tasked with delivering pre-prepared lessons, ensuring student engagement, and managing classroom behavior in a positive and professional manner. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the education sector or those seeking flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure students remain on task.
  • Ensure students’ work is completed in a productive and orderly environment.
  • Support students with individual needs and encourage their participation in learning activities.
  • Manage behavior in line with school policies and ensure a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Report back to the school on students’ progress and any issues that arise during the lesson.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for education and helping students achieve their best potential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a variety of school settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
