Cover Supervisor – Permanent Role in a Southampton Secondary School

Location: Southampton
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2024

We are looking for a committed and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Southampton on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with young people and is considering a career in teaching.

The Role
As a permanent Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Provide consistent cover in the absence of teaching staff, delivering pre-prepared work and managing classroom behaviour.
  • Support students in their learning, ensuring they remain engaged and on task during lessons.
  • Build positive relationships with students, providing support and guidance where needed.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and support the smooth running of the school on a daily basis.

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
