Job description

Cover Teachers Needed – Secondary Schools in Wigan (Starting October)

We are seeking confident and enthusiastic cover teachers to work in secondary schools across the Wigan area starting in October. This is a fantastic opportunity, especially for graduates, to gain valuable experience in a school setting. You’ll be delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining classroom discipline, and supporting students with their learning during teacher absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting students in their learning and ensuring tasks are completed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Graduates who are passionate about education and keen to gain classroom experience.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
  • An interest in working with young people and helping them succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
