Cover Supervisor – Required immediately

Teaching Personnel are working with a ‘Good’ client secondary school to recruit a Cover Supervisor that is able to work on a full-time basis for the remainder of the academic year.

The school seek to meet with candidates that have experience leading lessons, coaching or working alongside students who are aged 11-16 with the view to appointing a Cover Supervisor immediately.

Position:            Full-time Cover Supervisor

Pay:                    Up to £1900 a month dependent on hours worked

Start date:         As soon as possible

School:              ‘Good’ Secondary school in Wigan

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for an introduction to a full-time role within a supportive secondary school or a Graduate/aspiring teacher who wishes to complete a teacher training course in the near future.

You will be required to provide lesson cover in the absence of the school class teacher, delivering pre-set lessons to students aged between 11-16. It is essential that you are able to lead a class with confidence ensuring that students are completing the work that has been set by the class teacher.

Working as a Cover Supervisor through Teaching Personnel you will develop good behaviour and classroom management skills which will benefit you in your pursuit of becoming a teacher in the future. There will also be regular CPD training to ensure that you have the opportunity to continuously develop during your time working with us.

Situated close to Orrell, the school is on the outskirts of Wigan town centre making it easily accessible via car or public transport from the surrounding areas; Skelmersdale, Chorley, Standish & Ashton-in-Makerfield.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
