Job description

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location:

North West England, Cheshire, Poynton

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

£85 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure student engagement
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage student behaviour
  • Assist with student queries and provide guidance when needed
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a classroom and support student learning

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow and implement lesson plans
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in an educational setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education qualification in Education or related field
  • Additional training in classroom management or teaching techniques

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment
  • Full-time hours on a contract basis
  • Interact with students, teachers, and school staff
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
