Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Job Duties:

• Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher
• Implement pre-prepared lesson plans left by the teacher
• Maintain discipline and ensure a positive learning environment
• Assist students with their work and provide support as needed
• Oversee the completion of work and manage classroom activities

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
• Experience working with children or young adults
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young adults

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of classroom management techniques
• Ability to follow directions and implement lesson plans
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching Assistant qualification
• First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following school hours and term dates. It may require standing for extended periods and dealing with challenging behaviour from students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
