Cover Supervisors needed at Northampton Secondary School!

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a secondary school in Northampton who need a cover supervisor for the new academic year. With the new academic year approaching and this being the busiest time of the year for supply work, our client school is looking to recruit several Cover Supervisors.

This role is perfect for a candidate with aspirations of becoming a future teacher and for anyone who is looking to gain classroom experience.

To work as a Cover Supervisor in our client school, you must meet the following application requirements:

  • Any transferrable experience with children/young people is required.
  • Experience with challenging behaviour or SEN is also desirable as these skills will be highly transferrable.

If you meet the above requirements and are interested in a Cover Supervisor role, please see further information below.

  • Full time role.
  • Role available from September 2023.
  • Earn up to £600 per week, depending on your experience and the roles and responsibilities involved.
  • Covering and delivering pre-planned lessons covering a teacher’s absence.
  • Facilitate learning across varying levels of ability within specific subjects.
  • Gain invaluable experience towards teaching training applications.
  • Opportunity to work with children who can display challenging behaviour or SEN.

It will also be important for the candidate to be confident in assessing and evaluating pupils’ progress in the absence of the teacher and being able to report this back efficiently for their return. Our client school does contain some pupils who can display challenging behaviour and therefore, the chosen candidate will be expected to manage behaviour and ensure tasks are completed by pupils.

For immediate consideration please apply with your CV (highlighting your education and previous school-based experience). For any further information please contact the Northants and Counties Secondary Office.
