Job description

Job Title: Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher
Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Supply/Temporary
Salary: up to £110 per day, dependent on experience.

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors / Unqualified Teachers to join our team and provide support to secondary schools in the Tameside area. If you have a passion for education, a proactive attitude, and are looking for a flexible role within local schools, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms during the absence of the regular teacher
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the class teacher and ensure students remain on task
  • Support students with their learning and ensure a positive and productive classroom environment
  • Maintain good behaviour and discipline in line with school policies
  • Report on student progress and any issues to the relevant teaching staff or school leadership
  • Provide assistance and guidance where needed to help students achieve their learning objectives

About You:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting, although not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident in managing classrooms and maintaining discipline
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and reliable with a positive approach to supporting students
  • A strong desire to help students of all abilities achieve their potential
  • A willingness to adapt and work in a variety of secondary schools across Tameside

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
