Role: Unqualified Teacher/Cover Supervisor

Location: Various Secondary Schools in South Manchester

Type: Supply Basis (Flexible, Short-Term and Long-Term Opportunities)

Salary: Competitive daily rate (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classes in the absence of a class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and follow the set work.
  • Support students in their learning and development, providing assistance when needed.
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment by promoting good behaviour and discipline.
  • Manage classroom resources and ensure all students have the necessary materials.
  • Support students with special educational needs as required.
  • Follow the school’s policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A passion for education and a desire to work with young people.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly to different teaching environments.
  • A flexible and positive attitude towards work.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
