Salary:
£85 to £110
Role Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of secondary schools throughout South Manchester. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment by supervising classes during teacher absences. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the education sector or those who are considering a career in teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Ensure that students remain on task and complete assigned work.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Manage student behaviour effectively, ensuring adherence to school policies.
- Provide support to students as needed, helping them understand their assignments.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or academic performance to relevant staff members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and classroom management.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
