Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: North West England, Cheshire, Macclesfield

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £95 Per day

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Ensure students are engaged in learning and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Manage student behaviour and discipline according to school policies
  • Assist with the implementation of lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
  • Support students with their learning and provide guidance when needed

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics

Experience:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Good organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher level qualifications in Education or related field
  • Additional training in behaviour management or teaching assistant roles

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours typically follow the school schedule
  • May require standing for extended periods
  • Interaction with students, teachers, and school staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
