Cover Supervisor

Location:

North West England, Cheshire, Macclesfield

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

£85 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervising and managing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implementing pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring student engagement
  • Maintaining discipline and creating a positive learning environment
  • Assisting students with their work and providing support as needed
  • Reporting back on student behaviour and progress to the appropriate staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience working in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to follow and implement lesson plans
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education qualifications in Education or related field
  • Additional training in classroom management or teaching techniques

Working Conditions:

The role involves working within a school environment, following the school term calendar. It requires the ability to stand for extended periods and adapt to various classroom settings and student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
