Job description

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Full Time/Flexible/day-to-day opportunities all available

Location: Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire (B95)

 

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted rated "Good" mainstream secondary school in B95, Henley-in-Arden, to recruit a number of excellent, reliable cover supervisors for the school. There are opportunities for full time cover supervisors as well as part time/flexible cover supervisors who would like to fit work around their lives!

Ideally, we are seeking confident, passionate and reliable individuals who have had previous experience working as a cover supervisor in UK secondary schools.

 

Our ideal applicant will:

- have worked previously as a cover supervisor and understands the expectations of the role

- have a strong classroom presence and strong behaviour management techniques

- be a positive and confident person who can handle challenging environments

- have experience/ an understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs

 

The job requirements are as follows:

- the ability to "step up" in the absence of the class teacher and confidently deliver a range of lessons to a range of year groups

- accurately follow pre-planned lessons, adhering to timings laid out by the class teacher

- manage classroom behaviour effectively, reporting any concerns to the SLT within the school

- maintain a committed stance to safeguarding, upholding the schools policies and procedures at all times and reporting incidents to the appropriate people 

- report back to class teacher or senior members of the staff within the school if not all work was completed on time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
