You will ensure that lessons run smoothly, students remain engaged, and a positive learning environment is maintained. If you have a subject specialism, this is a great advantage, as you may be able to support within your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students in the absence of the class teacher.

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

• Provide support and guidance to students, ensuring they remain on task.

• Supervise students during lessons, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment.

• Liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders regarding any issues that arise.

• Complete basic administrative tasks related to the lessons covered.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

• A passion for education and helping students succeed.

• Adaptability and confidence to work across different year groups and subjects.

• Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.

• A subject specialism is beneficial but not required.

• The ability to work at short notice for ad hoc cover.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
