Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Brighton Area)

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor or looking to step into the world of education? Do you have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in the Brighton area.

About the Role: We are working with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school that is committed to providing an excellent education for all students. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment, ensuring students remain focused and engaged in the absence of their regular teacher. Strong behaviour management skills are essential, as you will be responsible for maintaining discipline and ensuring a smooth-running classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher

  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning, ensuring a structured and positive environment

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies and procedures

  • Support students in their learning, ensuring they remain on task

  • Build positive relationships with students and staff to contribute to the school's supportive and inclusive ethos

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with secondary-age students, either in a school setting or similar environment

  • Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to maintain a calm and structured classroom

  • A confident and adaptable approach, with the ability to deliver lessons across various subjects

  • A passion for education and supporting young people in their learning and development

  • A degree or relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
