Cover Supervisor

A mainstream school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting students and assisting with the smooth running of the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students are engaged and productive.

• Managing classroom behavior in accordance with the school’s policies.

• Supporting students with their learning and ensuring they follow instructions set by the absent teacher.

• Providing pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.

• Assisting in the preparation of resources and supporting teachers with classroom activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting, preferably as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or in a similar role.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.

• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to managing students.

• A passion for education and supporting student learning.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., GCSEs, A-levels, or equivalent).
