Casual Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our team in Chorley on a casual basis.

Position: Casual Teaching Assistant
Location: Chorley, Secondary Alternative Provision
Hours: Sporadic days, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Pay: £12.90 p/h

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work in a supportive and dynamic environment, assisting students in an alternative provision setting. You will help maintain a positive and structured learning atmosphere and will be instrumental in managing classroom behaviour and encouraging student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning and development.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
