Job Title: Bricklaying Lecturer
Salary: £27,425 - £40,369 per annum
Contract: Full time, permanent
Location: Huntingdon, Peterborough
Teaching Personnel are an approved provider for a leading FE College located in Cambridgeshire, who are currently looking for a Brickwork Lecturer to join their Construction department. This exciting role will involve the design and delivery of the Bricklaying courses to a wide range of learners, in both practical and theoretical settings. The job role will also include contributing to the continued development of the department, providing tutorial support for learners and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the post.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality teaching and learning to a timetable that may include evening, Saturday and summer periods
- Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes, and to learners with a range of ages and abilities.
- Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.
- Develop and maintain teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers and electronic resources.
- Prepare Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
- Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the area.
Requirements:
- A Minimum of Level 3 within Bricklaying, this is essential and will not be considered without.
- Hold a Teaching Qualification, i.e, PGCE, Cert Ed, PTLLS or equivalent (or a willingness to work towards).
- Prior experience teaching Brickwork or Multi Skills up to Level 3. (Whether in Education or on site with apprentices).
- Have minimum C in both Maths and English.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
