Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and passionate Biology Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Canterbury. The school is well-established, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding education and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Biology Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 Biology curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Biology.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure continuous development.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Provide extra support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to enhance learning outcomes.
- Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and staff meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Biology or a related subject.
- Previous experience teaching Biology at secondary level (Key Stages 3-5).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and commitment to student development.
- An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
