Job Overview

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs? We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Officer to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis in Leyland.

The core focus of this job is to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for implementing the schools Attendance and Behaviour Policy and improving the attendance and behaviour of identified students who attendance and/or behaviour is a barrier to their performance. Responsible for recording, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on attendance and behaviour data. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide behavioural support and guidance to individuals with specific needs.
• Work closely with educators, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans.
• Offer direct support to individuals in various settings, promoting positive behaviour and independence.
• Monitor and track progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in behaviour management and support, ideally in educational or care settings.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Relevant qualifications in psychology, special education, or a related field would be beneficial.
• A flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
