Are you passionate about supporting children to succeed in school and reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at Teaching Personnel, working across primary schools in Liverpool to provide behaviour buddy mentoring to pupils who struggle with challenging behaviours and staying in classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer 1:1 mentoring to students with challenging behaviour, helping them develop positive social skills and emotional regulation.
- Provide tailored support to pupils in the classroom and during transitions to ensure they stay engaged and feel supported.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff to create individualised behaviour support plans for pupils.
- Monitor and record progress, celebrating successes and identifying areas for further development.
- Offer guidance and strategies to teachers and staff to create an inclusive and positive environment for all students.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, fostering trust and confidence.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children, particularly in educational or behavioural support settings.
- Strong understanding of child development, including challenging behaviours and emotional regulation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and parents.
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting children in overcoming barriers to learning.
- A commitment to inclusion and the well-being of every student.
- A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field (desirable, but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
