Job description

A behaviour provision in North Manchester is looking for behaviour support assistants to work with students in the school to promote good and positive behaviour from students whilst they learn.

The school offers an environment where students have support from all staff where they need it to progress within their learning.

The students within the school are ages 11-16 and are not currently within mainstream schooling due to different SEMH needs that have meant they need extra support in smaller groups and in a more specialised environment.

Role within the school:

  • Work with students both in and out of the classroom to ensure they are behaving in a respectful way towards staff and other students
  • Provide additional support for students who may be in crisis
  • Create comprehensive plans with other members of staff to ensure that students have well-rounded support that is suited to their individual needs

Experience needed:

  • Previous experience working in an education environment
  • Previous experience managing behaviour and promoting respect
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team Teach qualification (preferred)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
