Behaviour Support Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS10

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Providing support to pupils with challenging behaviour in an educational setting
  • Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Monitoring and recording chidlren behaviour and progress
  • Offering one-to-one support to pupils as required
  • Collaborating with educational staff and parents to address behavioural concerns

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role within an educational environment
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in Positive Behaviour Support

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily within a school setting
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviour
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Temporary position with the possibility of extension

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
